During a recent tour of the U.S.A. Professor Isaacs visited William Faulkner 's home town of Oxford, Mississippi, and the neighbour;ng countryside. In this talk he relates the real Mississippi scene to the imaginary Yoknapatawpha Country in which the majority of William Faulkner's novels are set.
