Mr. Johnston, who is at present engaged on a study of the Duke of Wellington, talks about the professional qualities of the man who served under Wellington in the field in the Peninsular War and in the government as Secretary of State for War and for Ireland, and who finally succeeded him in 1852 as Commander-in-Chief of the British Army.
