' The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much
Talk by the Rev. Eric Jay , Ph.D.
This talk, on the Feast of the Vigil of St. James, is about an early treatise on prayer written in the third century by Origen. The treatise had not been translated into English until last year when three scholars, working independently, prepared for publication an English translation. In this talk Dr. Jay, who was one of these translators, shows how the treatise answers some of our present-day difficulties about prayer.
