Directed by A. H. Morgan
For a considerable period the Wessex Players have been well known in the West Country. They were formerly known as the Wessex Quartet, but the combination now consists of six players: two violins, 'cello, double bass, pianoforte, and saxophone.
A. H. Morgan has been directing and leading orchestras since an early age. During the war he was leader of the orchestra on Admiral Beatty's flagship, the Queen Elizabeth.
Recently he has concentrated on the smaller type of light musical combinations, making special arrangements for all his programmes.
