The Wessex Players, formerly known as the Wessex Quartet, were formed several years ago by A. H. Morgan. In the early part of last year two new members were added. Mr. Morgan is an active member of many musical societies. During the war he was leader of the orchestra on the flagship Queen Elizabeth with Admiral Beatty. Until the advent of sound pictures, he was musical director of a cinema in Bristol, and for three seasons he led the Municipal Orchestra at Ilfracombe.

Nico Droog won his titje as cruiserweight champion of Holland when he beat Reinus de Boer last September. This is his first appearance in England.
Roby Leibrandt, who is only twenty-three years of age, was amateur heavyweight champion of South Africa before he turned professional. An ardent student of physical culture, Leibrandt disdains feather beds for plain, uncovered boards to keep himself hard.
