An appeal on behalf of THE PONTYPRIDD FRATERNAL BOOT
FUND by Councillor ARTHUR PEARSON ,
M.P.
This organisation was established in Pontypridd some three years ago. The grave condition of the town as a result of the depression called for some effort. At that time 750 pairs of children's boots and shoes were distributed. The need remains great ; in fact, the conditions among children are more serious today than at any other time since the trade depression commenced. Seventeen hundred children have been declared under-nourished and in need of boots and shoes this winter.
The Fund works under* the auspices of the Clergy and Ministers, and is representative of all denominations, as well as being in close collaboration with the Director of Education.
Contributions will be gratefully acknowledged, and should be addressed to [address removed]
