This is the first of two talks on the Highland Show now being held in Alloa to be given by J. B. Douglas. The other will follow tomorrow at
10.25 p.m. The Highland Society, the present Agricultural Society of Scotland, founded in 1784, first concerned itself with enquiring into the state of the Highlands and islands, and also interested itself in the preservation of the language, poetry, and music of the Highlands.
