A programme of lighter music played by a section of The BBC Northern Orchestra
Leader, Alfred Barker
Conducted by H. Foster Clark
' Theatre Time ' made its first appearance on January 9, beginning a new series of light music programmes by a section of the BBC Northern Orchestra. H. Foster Clark conducts in these broadcasts, which will help to meet the call for more light music, and which are distinct from the regular and frequent broadcasts by the full orchestra, usually devoted to more serious works.

As a result of two recent broadcasts, the choir of Monkgate Methodist Church had many letters in appreciation of their tone quality and clear enunciation. This third recital will probably add to the list of the choir's admirers.
