Relayed from
The Royalty Theatre, Chester
This popular little broadcast star, who was only fifteen last February, made his radio name in ' In Town Tonight , and was very soon doing an act of his own on the air. In no time his famous Gang became a feature of the Variety programmes. For a year now they have been touring the halls and everywhere they have met with success.
Hughie Green writes and produces his own material. There is no stricter disciplinarian at rehearsals, but he is no keener than any of his Gang. This summer he made his first big picture, playing the name part in Mr. Midshipman Easy, in which he was assisted by his famous godfather, Harry Tate.
