An appeal on behalf of THE ULSTER HOSPITAL FOR
CHILDREN AND WOMEN by W. CROFT , father of a patient, introduced by Captain J. Maynard Sinclair, M.P., President of the Hospital
Pneumonia followed by rheumatic fever was the complaint of a twelve-year-old Ulster boy. As a last resource he was taken to the Ulster
Hospital for Children and Women. A difficult operation was performed on him. For several days he was given oxygen every half hour. Slowly he was nursed back to health. The care and devotion of the medical and nursing staff made a profound impression on the boy's father. Tonight, the father comes to the microphone to appeal for funds for this hospital. No fashionable charity worker, he speaks with a full heart and from real knowledge. He will be introduced by Capt. J. Maynard Sinclair, M.P., formerly secretary and now president of the hospital.
