Last year the Midland Region broadcast a monthly series of English folk dances for the benefit of country-dancing societies. The programmes were so given that they could be danced to. This winter folk music is represented by a monthly series for the general listener.
For this Gerrard Williams , an authority on folk music and famous too for his arrangements for the BBC Military Band, has composed a number of medleys built up on folk tunes. He will provide a number of interesting annotations on the folk tunes represented. ,
