' Spring Spraying of Fruit Trees '
Christopher Norbury
Christopher Norbury is in partnership with his father, who was one of the pioneers of modern fruit-growing in England. The firm has won many prizes at the Imperial Fruit Show, and it was one of the first to use the National Mark Super Grade for Apples, and one of the first to introduce a mechanical grader for apples.
The speaker was educated at
Oundle School and Emmanuel College, Cambridge, and passed through the School of Agriculture at Cambridge. He is one of the Worcestershire delegates on the Fruit
Sub-Committee of the National Farmers' Union, and a member of the committee of the Imperial Fruit Show. Since 1934 he has been a member of the Martley Rural District Council. Several articles have been written by him on fruit juices as a means of ridding the market of second-grade fruit.
