Walter Higgs , a city councillor of Birmingham since 1934, and M.P. for West Birmingham, is the governing director of a motor-car firm.
Professor Arnold Plant has occupied the Sir Ernest Cassel Chair of Commerce at the University of London since 1930. Formerly he was Dean of the Faculty of Commerce at Capetown University.
