Godiva Pageants are held in Coventry at intervals of several years ; the last was in 1929. Famous women down the ages will be represented in twenty-four episodes. There were more than sixty applications for it this year, and finally Miss Frances Burchell , of Harborne, a clerk in Birmingham Gas Department, and a riding instructress in her father's riding school, was chosen.
