'A Picnic at Plumsnitch' JACKO and PETER PIPER have a holiday
Miss Dorothy Round , the Women's Singles Champion, lives at Dudley, and was given a civic welcome on her return home after winning the championship at Wimbledon last summer. She has spent the 'winter in the East, playing tennis in China and Japan, and she returned to England in April.
Owing to the leg injury that developed on the way home, she had to scratch from the Singles in the Tally-Ho Tournament at Birmingham at Easter, but she won the Mixed Doubles with D. W. Butler , the Worcester County champion, with whom she is to play at Wimbledon if well enough. It is also hoped that she will be able to play in the Priory Tournament at Birmingham at Wnitsun.
