Mr. Cowper is senior announcer at Birmingham, and had three years experience in the weather forecast department at the Air Ministry, shortly after the War. He served with the Archangel Expeditionary Force and wintered at Murmansk in the Arctic Circle. Before coming to the B.B.C. he had also some experience of tropical conditions in Brazil.
