Sir Charles Hyde , Bt., has been sole proprietor of The Birmingham Post and The Birmingham Alail since 1913. For over thirty years he has been prominent in philanthropic movements in Birmingham, notably the Queen's Hospital and the Children's Hospital. George Liddell, Manager of Birmingham Football Club, for which he played for many years, broadcast fortnightly sports talks in the evening programme during 1933.
