CALLENDER'S SECOND BAND

Regional Programme London

By Alderman FRANK BARRETT , J.P.
The sounds of arrival and departure of trawlers, and of the sale of fish by public auction, reproduced by the Blattnerphone (Stille system), will accompany Alderman Frank Barrett 's talk on Grimsby and its fishing industry. This Lincolnshire port is the fishing metropolis of the world: trawlers arrive daily from the fishing grounds of the North Sea, Iceland, the White
Sea, the Faroe Islands and Bear Island to land their catches for distribution and sale throughout the British Isles.
