Here is an imaginary music-hall, two comperes linking up the acts, and what a bumper bill! Tommy Handley in the evergreen The Disorderly Room, which he broadcast in the Royal Command Performance of 1924 and has been giving on the air or in the halls ever since ; Vine, Moore, and Nevard, those cheery entertainers at the piano; Maudie Edwards , singer with a true Marie Lloyd touch ; Ray Meux with his irresistibly funny patter ; Jackie Heller , American cabaret artist who was recently at Grosvenor House; Louis Aelner, mouth organ virtuoso; Frank Groves , the Lancashire Alfred Lester, who is to give ' I've never felt so daft in all my life', and last but not least, the inimitable Tod Slaughter of Sweeney Todd fame in a monologue.
