Regional Variations (2)

by John Gloag
The occupants of the railway compartment whose conversation is to be heard this evening are three men and a girl. She is interested in furnishing on a small scale, for she lives in a bed-sitting-room. Of the three men, one is a a prosperous householder who runs a car, another a manufacturer - a a wise old Yorkshireman, and the third a designer - a bright, but not too bright young man who has been trained as an architect. Their conversation is not unnaturally about something in which they are all interested - Art in Industry.
