Dr. Clark Kerr, the President of the University of California since 1958. was dismissed from his post by the University Regents in January this year. after a stormy meeting of the Regents at Berkeley. The newly elected Republican Governor of California, Ronald Reagan, who is ex-officio a Recent, was one of those who voted for Kerr's dismissal.
