Cast:
With great ceremony Ivan Vassilyeviteh visits his neighbour Stephan Stepanovitch to ask for the hand of his daughter, Natalya Stepanovna. His arrival is followed by misunderstanding upon misunderstanding and quarrel upon quarrel, until, exhausted, tho young couple find themselves engaged, and the anxious father hastens to celebrate the occasion with champagne.
