The Dale family were united in their disapproval of Janet's engagement to Carl-all except Jenny. While they were still arguing about it Janet and Carl got married and flew to Vienna. Pat discovered that Joe Higgins had let him down, but he decided to give Bob another chance. Tom Draycott has been very distressed by his mother's behaviour; and he has also begun to feel that his iob is in jeopardy.
