Alec Date was not pleased when Carlton told him that he had agreed to go back to Baronsfield as his grandfather suggested. Dr. and Mrs. Dale have upset the publicity plans by cabling that they are staying longer than expected in America; but the Exton Adrerriser holds a reception at the Park Hotel as arranged and the rest of the family attend. Things are still strained between Janet and Carl Plevna.
