Hugh Cudlipp is Deputy Chairman and Editorial Director of the International Publishing Corporation and Chairman of Daily Mirror Newspapers, Ltd. As Cecil King's closest and perhaps toughest associate, he wields considerable power through I.P.C.'s interests.
The youngest of three Welsh brothers, all of whom made considerable careers in journalism. Hugh Cudlipp is the author of two controversial books on the press, and has himself more than once been the centre of controversy.
