Building a Church
A church is much more than bricks and mortar. The Church of the Good Shepherd at Pyrford in Surrey was dedicated recently by the Bishop of Guildford. Most of the furnishing has been done by members of the congregation who have, in this way, identified themselves not only with the building itself but the community that the structure embodies.
† JOHN EBDON talks to those responsible for this fusion and discusses the function of the Church in an expanding suburban parish
