Welsh naturalists' brains trust.

BBC Home Service Welsh

Angela Thirkell , in a conversation with her son, Colin MacInnes , looks back to her childhood. She recalls the days when her grandfather, Edward Burne -Jones, drew pictures for her in the nursery, and when her cousin, Rudyard Kipling , told her some of the ' Just So' stories in a very special voice. Mrs. Thirkell speaks, too, of her father, Professor J. W. Mackail , and of her mother, and of a number of people whose names are known to all of us.
