The House on the Klong
This programme traces an unsolved mystery set against the exotic background of Bangkok. The story of an ex-ciA man, famous as the Thai Silk King, who revitalised the dying craft of silk weaving and built it into a multi-million dollar industry. Jim Thompson disappeared in 1967 while holidaying in Malaysia. His unique house on the klong remains a landmark in Bangkok.
Extensive searches have so far failed to discover any clues or information concerning his disappearance. However, theories abound - was he kidnapped ... or murdered? Did he vanish on purpose? Or was there another reason for the disappearance of this strange man?
