On the borders of Brazil, Venezuela and Guyana stands Conan Doyle's legendary Lost World - Roraima-a plateau of sandstone 1,750 million years old.
Less than a century ago scientists believed Roraima supported forms of prehistoric life. Since then explorers have failed to uncover the secrets of this land scarred with crevices hundreds of feet deep and shrouded in thick cloud. Recently, a British scientific team took a new route - through the unexplored jungles of Guyana.
Sudbury Hall in Derbyshire provides the sumptuous Restoration setting for a concert given by the clarinettist Jack Brymer and the Aeolian String Quartet
The main work is Mozart's Clarinet Quintet, and the Aeolian Quartet also performs Haydn's 1 Fifths' Quartet, Op 76 No 2.
