A second showing of Big Game Darting

A hypodermic syringe, containing narcotic, shot into an animal from a distance causes temporary unconsciousness. By this means, scientific investigations can be carried out and the capture of dangerous big game, for transfer from one area to another, can be made with less risk of damage to the animals.

Last century when the canals were cut and the railways pushed into every corner of the land, they talked of the Navvy Man and you knew what they meant: a flat cap or a battered bowler on his head, a prodigious shifter of muck who ate his two-and-a-half pounds of beef a day and smashed the face of his best friend for sport on Sunday afternoons.
But who are the men who build today's gigantic multi-million-pound construction schemes? Who are the Sons of the Navvy Man?
A report by Trevor Philpott and Slim Hewitt who went to find out.
