Rocello, the Italian found murdered on the houseboat, has been revealed as "the first of the frogmen", and the note conveying this information to Craven, the reporter, was in the handwriting of David Henderson, the house-master already under suspicion by the police. Now Billie Reynolds, the girl who lived on a neighbouring houseboat, and whom Henderson visited, is missing. Her spiv half-brother Chris is worried. So are the police...
