The series kicks off with a showcase of independent record label Ace, featuring studio recordings by Huey "Piano" Smith and the Clowns, Jimmy Clanton and His Rockets and Frankie Ford. And Suzi celebrates the 50th anniversary of the release of the Tune Weavers' top-five US hit Happy, Happy Birthday Baby. Plus golden oldies by Rosie and the Originals (Angel Baby) and Ed Townsend (For Your Love).

American country-rock singer/ songwriter Steve Earle explores the life and career of Alabama-born Hank Williams Sr , whose six-year career until his death in 1953, aged 29, established him as the founding father of modern country music and a seismic influence on both country and rock performers.
