Recently a new crematorium was consecrated at Bridgend in South Wales: it is one of the' few in Britain to have been designed from a sense of real concern for the needs of the bereaved.
For Maxwell Fry, well known for his designs of a great variety of buildings from single houses to universities, this was a special challenge. Throughout the work both sides - he as well as the rural councils who commissioned him - felt themselves part of a joint enterprise,
