Rishi Persad is in Beijing with coverage of the first day of competition as the starting gun is fired for the badminton, beach volleyball and equestrianism events at 2.00. Tracey Hallam and Andrew Smith are Britain's big hopes in the badminton singles. In Hong Kong, Clare Balding keeps an eye on one of Great Britain's biggest medal chances, the three-day eventing.
