The perils of human selection
A new series of documentary films narrated and produced by Roger Mills

The search for a top man to fill a top job. It begins 18 storeys up on Madison Avenue, New York. An American and a Canadian are analysing a situation vacant - in Margate, England. After that -they'll find the man to fill it. But the very last man to hear of the appointment is the man who will be appointed.' He will lift the phone one day and be offered out of the blue a job he never knew existed, for which he has never applied. He owes his promotion to 'The Headhunters' -who have selected his name from tens of thousands of other non-applicants.
