: THE MELINGRIFFITH BAND

Conductor, T. J. POWELL This band was formed more than sixty years ago. It is now connected with The Melingriffith Co. Ltd., of Whitchurch, and most of its members are engaged in the tinplate industry. In competition work, the band has been most successful and has won 35 first prizes, 23 second prizes and 16 third prizes during the last three years. The conductor is a well-known composer of brass band music, and his marches have frequently been broadcast.
