by Morgan Nicholas
Morgan Nicholas won his first prize for playing the piano at the age of twelve. For some time he was organist and choirmaster at the Royal Chapel, Windsor Great Park, a post once held by Sir Walford Davies. He had the honour, too, of being the first music organiser and conductor of the Montgomery County Festival at Newtown. At present he is organist of Oswestry Parish Church and music master of Oswestry School, which is one of the oldest in the country, having been founded in 1407.
