James Maxton , M.P.
James Maxton , who has been Labour M.P. for the Bridgeton Division of Glasgow since 1922, was educated at Hutcheson's Grammar School, Glasgow, and the University of Glasgow. He was Organiser in Scotland for the Glasgow Federation of the Independent Labour Party from 1919 to 1922 and a member of the Glasgow Education Authority for the same period. His publications include ' Lenin ' and ' If I were Dictator '.
