Purcell J. Mansfield has had a long career as an organist. He became organist of Paignton Wesleyan Church in England at the age of sixteen, but since then, except for the war, has been in Scotland. He was at one time organist of Paisley Abbey and at present officiates at Pollokshields Parish Church. He has also won recognition as a trainer of choirs.
