Dean of Derry
Were the tribute of all Alba mine From the centre to the border,
I would prefer the site of one house In the middle of fair Derry.

Donegal, his royal ancestry on both sides of his family, his education, and his departure for lona. St. Columba is one of the greatest Irish-born missionary saints, and it was through his labours and those of his followers that Scotland and Northern England were converted to Christianity.
