A concert from Birkenhead
Arranged by Arthur Spencer
This is the third concert in the new series of ' Music of the People ' concerts from various Northern towns; Wigan's and Bradford's talent has been on the air already.
In addition to the Corporation
Transport Brass Band, the Birkenhead Welsh Choral Society, and solo items, listeners to this concert will hear the choir of the Brassey Street Central School for Boys, which maintains a notably high standard of performance. This choir presents each year at its own school concert a very attractive programme; they have done-and done very well -such works as Orpheus and Hiawatha's Wedding Feast.
The whole of this programme comes from the concert hall of the Birkenhead Y.M.C.A.
