Stuart Vinden , who is a well-known Midland radio player, was for many seasons one of the leading actors in the Birmingham Repertory Company. One of his most memorable performances was as Bluntschli in Arms and the Man. He had to leave the stage owing to illness, and now teaches elocution.

Under the direction of Peter Hodgkinson with Harry Hartland (baritone)
For eighteen months the Hawaiian Islanders broadcast regularly, but lately they have been doing a stage act. They consist of four brothers under the direction of Peter Hodg kinson, who also composes. He wrote the descriptive number ' Tiger Shark '. The vocalist is Harry Hart land, who was a student' at the Birmingham and Midland Institute, and has had a good deal of experience in opera and concert-party work. He first broadcast in the early part of last year.
