This is the first of six programmes giving a musical biography of Mozart. They are presented by Eric Blom, music critic of the Birmingham Post and author of a brilliant book on Mozart. The first programme deals chiefly with Mozart's early travels up to the age of seventeen. He visited Paris, London, where he came under the influence of J.C. Bach, and Italy.
