An exploration of the music of Peter Warlock (1894-1930), eccentric musician, editor of combative music magazine TheSackbut, renowned hellraiser, talented drinker and melancholic, who very likely committed suicide. Stephen Johnson explores Warlock's perceived bipolarity and the duality of his personality, which perhaps led to the diversity in his songs.
