First, Faure's exquisite incidental music inspired by Shakespeare, then the sultry sounds and scents of summer nights in Berlioz's atmospheric song cycle. Finally, Bizet's famous evocation of exotic Provence, here in a rare extended selection of the incidental music to Daudet's play.
