Julian Joseph talks to the popular
American pianist and composerwho recently celebrated his 80th birthday. The Dave Brubeck Quartet was one of the most successful small groups of the fifties and sixties, scoring a huge hit with Take Five, a composition by the group's saxophonist Paul Desmond. This programme includes highlights from a 1992 concert by the quartet featuring
Brubeck with Bill Smith (clarinet), Jack Six (bass) and Randy Jones (drums).
