Michael Berkeley 's guest is the scholar and theologian Thomas Wright , Canon at Westminster Abbey. Canon Wright has written extensively about Christianity, especially concerning the personalities and teachings of Jesus and St Paul. His musical choices include works by Handel, Beethoven, Schubert and Sibelius, and also embrace Bob Dylan and the Original Dixieland Jazz Band.

The new season of New York Metropolitan Opera live broadcasts begins in style with Richard Strauss 's most lushly romantic work, full of eloquent and glorious music.
