The treasures of the Gonzaga family are at present on exhibition at the V and A. One of its most illustrious members was Vincenzo Gonzaga , Prince of Mantua.
This play tells the story or his life from his intemperate ardours as a young prince to his final infatuation with a Neapolitan opera-singer.
