In this, his first play for radio, the author, a Canadian student. lightheartedly imagines a meeting between Attila the Hun and Alaric the Visigoth. Attila - en route to sack Italy - has journeyed some considerable distance out of his way with a larger travelling retinue than Is strictly necessary to visit his ' old friend ' Alaric. Alaric has difficulty in finding out why, precisely, his old friend should wish to see him.
