A great deal of classical and even romantic piano music is associated with one or other of the two great schools of piano building, the Viennese and the English. In the first of two programmes RICHARD BURNETT plays a copy of an early South German fortepiano of cl785 by Mathaeus Heilmann and a late classical piano of 1826 by one of the leading Viennese builders, Conrad Graf.
